Senate Passes Fetus Protection Bill
Who defines the beginning of life? According to something like this, it’s our friendly United States gestapo, er, government.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate voted Thursday to make it a separate crime to harm a fetus during commission of a violent federal crime, a victory for those seeking to expand the legal rights of the unborn.
The 61-38 vote on the Unborn Victims of Violence Act sends the legislation, after a five-year battle in Congress, to President Bush for his signature, which he promised to provide.
“Pregnant women who have been harmed by violence, and their families, know that there are two victims - the mother and the unborn child - and both victims should be protected by federal law,” the president said in a statement applauding congressional passage. The House passed the bill last month.

Do you understand what this means? Do you understand that even before this act was passed the media and government have been preparing us for something like this? Think about it. I’m not clear as to whether Laci Peterson’s unborn “baby” was actually born alive, or died as a result of his mother being brutally murdered, but the fact that Scott Peterson is being charged with two counts of murder, one for his wife and one for his unborn son Connor, weighs heavily on just how significant this unborn fetus act really is.
Remember, there is a large movement of people out there trying to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision of 1973. This bill supports their views by saying that fetus = baby. For them, if fetus= baby, then abortion = murder.
How far can this go before we’ve gone to far?
Or are we already too far gone?
