My grandmother told me that it was the worst birthday of her life. Her advice to me, “don’t let it get you down, 30 was the only birthday that depressed me, the others aren’t so bad.” I think my grandmother “might be” losing her mind.
My 30th Birthday:
My nine year relationship - it ended almost six years ago - made full (dis)closure with me TODAY. I have to say, not much surprises me, but shit, this, this email surprised the fuck out of me..and it takes a lot to get the fuck “surprised” out of me. For the first time since it ended, “this not right but a great growing experience” relationship, I feel that the boy doesn’t hate me. And, I am truly at peace with it all.
Then, I found out that the contract on my apartment should be signed by all parties today. I don’t have to go in front of the co-op board, so if all goes according to plan, I’m almost a houseowner.(Note: No use of exclamation points because until I move into the place I shall remain weary.)
And FUCK..I’m 30 TODAY. As in RIGHT NOW. And I am so excited, and nervous, and introspective…There’s so much to do. And I know I can do my small part of “it”. The time is right for me to come of age. It should be…I’m 30.

I know I have no real right to say this because I chickened out at coming to your party, but I never understood why the fuck you wanted to be friends with Harry. Is it cause he’s weird, and you feel some strange connection with his weirdness? In any case, bottom line, he was a BIG dick in high school, and based upon his last post here, he is just as big an ass now. I’m not defending Lever at all, I never spoke a fucking word to guy, but his arrest, destroyed career, and pending incarceration for an apparent proclivity for young girls is hardly a laughing matter. Harry, if you are reading this, I hope you get shrapnel from a suicide bomb stuck up your ass, you peice of shit.

I want to be sure I understand. You sincerely hope that a suicide bomber detonates himself within my vicinity causing me serious bodily harm?
I know people and families whose lives have been destroyed and/or forever altered by such unbridled violence. I have personally witnessed the carnage of more than one terrorist attack and these events have left scars on my psyche.
Being a New Yorker who experienced the tragedy of September 11th I would think that you would be more sensitive to the pain caused by suicide terror attacks.
I certainly never expected someone with whom I thought I had a cordial relationship in high school to wish such senseless violence upon me. I hope your words reflect a temporary lapse in judgment and do not point to a more serious personal problem.
It boggles my mind that my short comment about a former classmate of ours being charged with attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor has unleashed such vitriol.
