Kirk Cameron - evangelist

I have sort of arrived in New Mexico. Well, I mean I'm here but not yet in the place where I will be spending the next four nights. That's in Santa Fe, and here in Albuquerue they don't seem to think much of Santa Fe. I think New Mexico has some major city rifting going on.

But that's not what was on my mind this morning.

Last night I turned on the TV to view one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen on Comcast cable, not that I have seen all that much on cable these days. It was the Trinity Network and a show called "The Way of the Master" or something like that. The Trinity network is obviously a Christian Broadcasting Network, which in and of itself freaks me out a bit, but the really, really freaky thing was the host and how he was talking.

There were two hosts, one was some dude named Ray Comfort. I don't know him from Adam, but the other host, the other host was a teenage heartthrob that I had once related to. That host was Kirk Cameron. Yes, that Kirk Cameron. The one who at one time was a teenage prankster named Mike Seaver who lived on Long Island in a show called Growing Pains. He's apparently not experiencing Growing Pains anymore. Not since he's found G-d. His favorite book is the bible and he says he reads it everyday. I am not joking.

This is fucking Kirk Cameron.

Oh, and you must check out his website..Caution, it's not for the faint of heart..

Look, I'm all for having passionate beliefs, but when I hear Kirk Cameron say that he likes to hang out with his Non-Christian friends so he can help them find Jesus Christ - something's gone terribly wrong with pop culture.

At least that's my opinion.
