Guess who's back? Back again...
Yeah. Holy it with an s.h. While I've been in civilization, as in San Francisco, for the past two days, today I'm in New York and it's the first time I've felt my freshly manicured fingertips under a cold, plastic slab of keyboard in OVER A WEEK. That's a long time for a writer not to be writing. I think I'm frothing as I write, getting my fix of weeks gone bye in right now. It's not like I need to write, okay, yes, actually I need to write, sort of like I need to breathe or need to eat, only not as severe, but it was a test of my own will to be able to back away from my daily interactions and stop... cold.... right in the middle of abundance.
I didn't sleep enough this morning. woke up late for a New Yorker (10AM) and early for a Californian (7AM) and am still in that state between awake and half awake. But I can't wait to get back, really back, feel like a New Yorker in my own apartment, not someone who flies home to crash in their brothers bed in their parents' house. Sure I could crash in my own bed in my parents' house, but just like I'm a vegetarian for psychological reason, I really can't sleep in the bed I grew up in for psychological reasons.
There's so much on the agenda today. Hmmm. Lets see...
Two pieces of mail I've received that I thought worth posting.
1. Via email, I received "Solidarity"
There are less than two months until the election, an election that will decide the next president of the United States. The man elected will be the president of ALL Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans. To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all get together and show each other our support for the candidate of our choice. It's time that we all came together, Democrats and Republicans alike. If you support the policies and character of Senator John Kerry, please drive with your headlights 'ON' during the day. If you support G. W. Bush, please drive with your headlights 'OFF'at night.
I'm not saying I support all of what Kerry has to say, cause he is a bit of a bore, but I am PRO CHOICE and Bush is not. Okay Bush is not a lot of things and I wouldn't vote for him in my lifetime anyway, but women will lose their right to choose, among lots of other things if Bush is re-elected. That's the bottom line.
2. This actually came in the snail mail because, in case you didn't know, I write a column for Playgirl magazine. I'll call it, "Special Request"
Dear Jamye
Hi. I want to know if I can buy some photos of you, or do you know of any hot sex women that want to write me. I'm 45 years old. I'm singal (his spelling not mine). I lick out the clit good!! I love blowjobs, lace end stockings, high heels, a tight nice looking ass. I lick the inner walls of pussy and right on the clit. I love big CLITS! Blondes, brunettes, redhead. 40's through 65 years old. Women that love to be kissed in the right places. Yes, nice wet tight pussy! Please have them write me. I'm very hot and a lot of cum (Not really sure what being a lot of cum means, but okay?)
This was written by a man named Raymond. Why he reads Playgirl when he loves clit is beyond me, unless of course he also failed to mention that he loves dick as well. Which is fine, really, but dude, lets talk about some of the other reasons you have to write me to ask for women to write you. And do I look forty? If you need to reference my picture in Playgirl to answer this question then please do yourself a favor and go buy yourself a fucking copy of the magazine. Then write back and tell me. Or if you are a sexy women and you meet Raymonds criteria and you have this undeniable throbbing in your clit to have Raymond write to you for you, then write me and I'll pass on his information, although I will tell you, I did clean up his grammar a bit. Raymond, my friend, has a small obsession with the apostrophe. Really, they were everywhere. So apostrophe fetish or sheer desperation, whatever makes you love Raymond, I understand.
I didn't take enough pictures at Burning Man, but it was everything I needed it to be and more. And less. But not in a bad way. And I will write more about all of that as I write more.
Now, I have to start apartment hunting in NYC. I really want to buy. A fixer upper downtown or in Brooklyn. If you know of anything, ANYTHING in the 2-300 range, please think of me, but laugh don't cry I know I'd want it that way...
It's good to (almost) be home.
