Nuze

Nuze...I think I like that better than news. Although doesn't news stand for North. East. West. South? The other nuze sounds more annoying, more poking and prodding and in your face until you push it away. And that is, often, what news feels like. But enough about news (well, at least for two paragraphs), lets talk about weather...

What's the weather like where you live? If it EVER rains - and you know that it does - you must have Dr. Sketchy's Rainy Day Colouring Book. I must confess I've never been to Dr. Sketchy's, but I will also confess that I'm a huge fan of Molly Crabapple, and of burlesque. And this is all anyone needs to know in order to PRE-ORDER the book. Like RIGHT NOW.

Speaking of books, can't say I've read any good ones lately, ever since subscribing to the NY Times. The *&!@# Times seems to be the only damn thing I can read in a day (or sometimes a week). I'm going to unsubscribe to the daily Times soon, but it was such a good deal, (it was free for twelve weeks and I'm all about sales)...and I was feeling so out of the loop when it comes to any sort of news to know.

So, what else is news to know or is no news good news with Gary Gnewes?

1. Drugstore Cowboy - Duane Reade, NY's neighborhood drugstore is starting to sell the Kama Sutra line of sex products over their counters. They are, apparently, also selling vibrators - and have been selling the vibrating Elexa condom - but I think lots of other chains sell that too.

Okay, yes, it's exciting that our NY neighborhood pharmacy has decided sexual pleasure is important to sexual health, and even our health in general. Perhaps it's a step towards more sexual social acceptance, or maybe, just maybe, it's all about the money.

2. Gays and Marriage
In what should be the most ass backwards move in the tri-state area, NJ has officially become the coolest state in terms of outward acceptance. I know, I know, I don't understand the NJ cool thing, except of course when it comes to music, I mean it is the home of Springsteen, Bon Jovi and Skid Row. But yes, Jerseyians did it again, standing out and proud and giving into equality when it comes to love and marriage. Of course the question still remains (and just in time for Election day) will gay people be able to marry or just form civil unions?
I say do it for McGreevey. Be all that you can be and marry damnit.

3.South Dakota and the Abortion vote.
Scary that this state can set the precedent over the fate of abortion in the US. But it's the state to watch, and the issue, this election day.

4. Are Virgins getting older? It would kind of make sense. We are living longer, so why do it until you're absolutely certain. At least in Australia.
