links AND fart stories

I feel like I'm in one of my addicted to blogging phases.

My links page is now active. It's by no means complete, but it's up. I'll be adding more links page today, tomorrow and from here on out (well, not necessarily in that order)...so if you think you should be there and you're not, do drop me a line, but not at the email address on the bottom of the links page, it's not working properly quite yet (don't ask, because I have no idea what' going on). Instead use my gmail account located in the NEXT entry.

Found this funny.

Poland: Police hunt farting dissident
Ananova [UK]

"Police in Poland have launched a nationwide hunt for a man who farted loudly when asked what he thought of the president. Hubert Hoffman, 45, was charged with 'contempt for the office of the head of state' for his actions after he was stopped by police in a routine check at a Warsaw railway station. He complained that under President Lech Kaczynski and his twin brother Jaroslaw, the country was returning to a Communist style dictatorship. When told to show more respect for the country's rulers, he farted loudly and was promptly arrested." Too bad it wasn't just SBD - silent but deadly. He could have gotten away with that one. In India, would this be a compliment (isn't burping a compliment there - and a burp is just a fart that came out the other end, no?), or is that just a rumor I heard to make it okay for some of us ruder folks to expel air at the table?
