Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Just asking. No reason. A lighthouse. Roosevelt Island.
My ex decided to respond to my post from a few days back (9.28.05), the one where I said I can't imagine why we dated. Since this is a forum where I can say my side of things, but I had to disable the comments in order to stop the spammers, I decided to give him is 15 seconds (at least his :15 on my blog).
So, here's his response:
Just to let you know, I do read your blog from time to time to see what you are up to. I dont know how I ever went out with you either! You are as far from my type as could be! Dont feel bad about what you wrote. I wouldnt look twice at you either if I saw you walking down the street.
Okay. There. I kind of thought it was funny that he wrote. Considering he wouldn't talk to me for years after we broke up, and now he looks at what's going on with my life. Strange. There's a lot of other words I'd use here, but I won't.
Moving right along.
Had an amazing lunch today at 11 Madison Park. A very fancy, very delicious restaurant on the Madison Square Park. I was there because there's a book coming out in January, and since most magazines lead time is three-four months in advance, if you want your book to get press, you have to publicize early. The book looks great. It's called How the Pro-Choice Movement Saved America: Freedom Politics and the War on Sex by Cristina Page (Basic Books).
I'm going to read my copy as soon as I finish The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I started that book on Monday, and haven't been able to put it down since. I mean, really I can't put it down. I should been done by tonight. I hope I am at least, because while the book is amazing it's also depressing as hell (How depressing is hell?) I cried on the train home last night, which was sort of embarrassing, but it's one fine read. Highly recommended.
