Purging 101

Cnv0002.bmp What's he hiding?

Let us all reveal something about ourselves that maybe we haven't told a lot of people. Perhaps it will be therapeutic, or cathartic, or nothing more than a few seconds of utter self absorption - but who cares?

Really, it doesn't matter. Just do it - Reveal something about yourself now. Something that makes you feel vulnerable or proud.

When I was younger, I couldn't stand the word BLOOD. For some reason it always made me queasy. Anytime my mother wanted to shut me up, or show some friends of hers how weird I could be, she would scream "blood, blood, blood..." until I couldn't take it any longer. Then I would get nauseous and dizzy, and would, at times, come close to fainting. Eventually I learned to be able to accept blood for what it is, a vital part of our survival. But there are still some other words that have to do with circulation that I don't like to talk about. And I have two siblings, who are or will be doctors, and not only can they talk about blood and other "stuff" in our bodies, they can see organs, and play with muscles on a daily basis. And I don't understand how they don't throw up.

Oh, and I'm still afraid of the sound a balloon makes when it pops.
